Is the museum accessible by individuals not affiliated with the university?

Yes. Entrance to the museum is free of charge to everyone.

Is the museum open on Sundays and public holidays?

Yes, the museum is open on Sundays and public holidays. However, we may close during the summer and winter holidays and on occasion for maintenance. Please check the museum’s homepage.

Does the museum have a gift shop?

No. However, we do have a gift for everyone who complete the museum’s questionnaire.

Are books or leaflets from past exhibitions available for purchase?

Yes, while stocks last. Please see "Publications" for more information.

Are the museum’s curators available to give tours?

If requested in advance, five to ten minute explanations of exhibition zones are available. Please use the application form to request a group tour. Video and leaflets introducing the museum are always available.

Do you have a parking lot and parking place for bicycles?

No. If coming by car, please use coin parking spaces in the neighborhood. There is no parking for bicycles in the vicinity. You can walk 10-15min. from station or please utilize public transportation when coming to the museum.

Is there a place to eat at Kokugakuin University Museum?

There are three kind cafeteria and restaurant available on the Shibuya Campus.

Donations

Donations made from the public are used effectively for the Museum's projects. Information on the Museum's activities can be found on the donations website and Museum website.
